If your goldfish is swimming very slowly and turning belly up frequently while swimming know that there is something wrong. Goldfish sick with disease are easy to detect. They will have symptoms that are different from normal goldfish behavior. Goldfish are fast swimmers.

There may be different colored marks all over the body. The stomach may become hard and fat. Goldfish sick with bacteria or fungal infection will have changed body color (usually pale color in comparison to their original color).
